Although I love the clean fresh look that natural light offers, I don't get a lot of natural light in my house. Which is amazing since we have a ton of big windows. However today there was a bit of good light shining in my office and once I let my dd wear my headphones, I had a subject to play with! Thank you Laurie Berkner, the queen of kiddie tunes. :-)
I used my Sigma 1.4 lens on all of these. I ran the Color Pop Slut action from Pussycat Superstar (sweet name, huh?) on the portrait orientaion photos and Aly's Color Boost on the horizontal photos. The first one does have a very light texture on it, my first time doing it and not sure I'll do it again. Photoshop kept locking up on me! I think I like Aly's action better as the skin tones are much more accurate. The color boost is fun, but a little too orange for my liking.
I just want to thank everyone for their kind words last week about my dog. He received 3 days of the cyberknife radiation treatment last week and seems to be fairing well. Hopefully the tumor will start to die off and all will be good!
Parents, if you want wonderful pictures of your children, never teach them to say "cheese"! Please learn from my mistake or you will have thousands of photos just like mine - squinted eyes, scrunched up noses, clenched teeth, and an image that just screams "say cheez!!!". Join me while I search for that one perfect shot that doesn't conjure up images of dairy products. Oh, and unless you like that *messy* look, you'll probably want to clean their faces before you snap away. I never seem to remember myself.

She is adorable! I love her in those headphones, she is really jamming out huh? And I'm glad your poor doggie is doing well... I was wondering about him! I hope the cyberknife thing works. :)
Wow, her eyes are amazing! So glad she was able to pose for you today.
These are adorable and I love the effect of your lighting. Nice job!
Great shots, the lighting looks really good!
These are so cute! I love that 3rd one cause she is in the zone-Laurie Berkner is so fun :)
Cute shots. I had to read the name of the actions twice to see if I had read right. LOL.
Great eyes in all of these. I agree with you about liking the skin tones better with one action over the other.
Your daughter is so cute - those cheeks are gorgeous. I am loving the headphone shots.
Oh, that first one is so sweet! She's a cutie!
She's so cute, the blue of her eyes is amazing! Great shots!
she is so cute! love all the shots here but her expression in that third one is the winner for me. good to hear that your dog is doing better.
These shots are so adorable. Her eyes are incredible, and I LOVE your natural lighting here!
I just love her expressions, and her sweet face! Really awesome. I love the shine that natural light give to her skin. Aly's color pop is so awesome. Its just a soft light layer so it brights the skin without making it too red.
aaawwwww, look at those cheeks! Pretty eyes! Nice captures!
