Parents, if you want wonderful pictures of your children, never teach them to say "cheese"! Please learn from my mistake or you will have thousands of photos just like mine - squinted eyes, scrunched up noses, clenched teeth, and an image that just screams "say cheez!!!". Join me while I search for that one perfect shot that doesn't conjure up images of dairy products. Oh, and unless you like that *messy* look, you'll probably want to clean their faces before you snap away. I never seem to remember myself.

An imporant sidenote is to make sure you document your life! Recording the little details of the who, what, where, when, & why makes for wonderful stories and captures your life for years to come. Because if you are like me, you'll forget it all 5 minutes later!

POTD {just trying to get through the day}

I still have no clue what the weekly theme is for the photo of the day. Looking at my blog now, I realize I could simply click on the link on the left side to find out. But hey, that takes too much forethought and effort right now. :-)

I used to really like following the themes as it gave me a focus. These days, I'm pretty unfocused and just trying to get through each day without utterly confusing myself. With N, J, & M's busy school & extracurricular activity schedules, plus A's current desire to resist any and all naps (at least naps that take place outside of my arms), I haven't had much time to use my camera. And one handed shooting is more than I can manage!

A newborn is such an amazing little highlight in life and watching the older siblings love their new brother is incredibly heartwarming. I hope to try to remember these daze - I mean DAYS! - many years from now as these are the moments that give me the warm fuzzies especially when I'm just trying to get through the day. I know that come the end of the year I'll want to make a blog book and will totally kick myself if I don't capture our life right now so I'm *trying* to get back into the groove of life. Here are a couple of shots from today, the first time I've found some photo mojo in a while.

Oh, I love the big sister shot. I have some like that with Annie that make my heart melt, and she was not yet two when her brother was born. So sweet.
