Parents, if you want wonderful pictures of your children, never teach them to say "cheese"! Please learn from my mistake or you will have thousands of photos just like mine - squinted eyes, scrunched up noses, clenched teeth, and an image that just screams "say cheez!!!". Join me while I search for that one perfect shot that doesn't conjure up images of dairy products. Oh, and unless you like that *messy* look, you'll probably want to clean their faces before you snap away. I never seem to remember myself.

An imporant sidenote is to make sure you document your life! Recording the little details of the who, what, where, when, & why makes for wonderful stories and captures your life for years to come. Because if you are like me, you'll forget it all 5 minutes later!

A Yankees Game, A Birthday, and the Flu {RP Post}

Ken took the boys to a Yankees game a couple of weeks ago. It started out iffy...the Yankees (the boys favorite team) were playing the Mariners (Jonah's t-ball team's name & therefore 2nd favorite team). This created quite a predicament for Jonah - who to cheer for??? He was really torn but ultimately decided that the Yankees trump any other team, especially at Yankee stadium. Phew! Of coarse the fact that the Yankees were playing well added to his decision to cheer them on...that and a lot of cotton candy, dippin' dots, pretzels, peanuts, and lemonade.

A few days later Jonah had his 6th birthday. He was very excited for the big day as he said, many times, "I've been waiting for this day ALL year!!".

Few days later the flu made the rounds through the house. One person at a time. So it stayed in our house for a week. That made for a very a fun Mother's day! (not.) All seems to be on the mend for now.
